Auguste (German spelling) Kroll, who took over running Kroll's Wintergarten in Berlin after the death of her father, Joseph Kroll, had three sisters. Somewhere I located their names, but have lost the list. Do you know their names? Auguste was the eldest of them and was born in Breslau (today: Wroclaw). Joseph Kroll had run a similar establishment there and King Friedrich Wilhelm IV invited him to build a similar place in the Prussian capital. In 1851 a fire gutted the building, but it was rebuilt and stood until it was destroyed by the RAF in 1945; its last remains being razed in 1957. Today the Kroll site and the former Parade Ground, which in the 19th C was outside the city walls (i.e. west of the Brandenburger Tor), is now occupied by the new government quarter of Germany. Hope you can help with the names of the Kroll sisters and - maybe - their dates, too! Auguste died in New York in 1907.
